Conservatives ramp up rhetoric to accuse Obama of reverse racism in schools

The conservative “media” is at it again.  They are blatantly espousing more disinformation – yes, disinformation and not misinformation – about a campaign to ensure students are punished fairly in our schools.  The author, Neil Munro, would have you believe that President Obama wants to punish white kids more, but a read through the above link will show you only a fool could fall for such rhetoric i.e. the conservative base.

The quote Munro uses from Obama states that he wants to promote "a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools." 

If anything, the quote Munro uses contradicts his story. 

Great journalism there. 

The only thing I got out of this article is that the author is very ignorant…and very conservative.  He fails to mention the effects of the poverty cycle – either on purpose or by design – and uses obviously racist sources that make assumptions and "predictions" that fit his agenda. 

I am not saying Barry isn't trying to do this (nobody knows any politicians true agenda anymore), but this piece doesn't even come close to justifying outrage.  This is just the media attempting to poke the bear again.  There are no facts in this article…but that is to be expected from a conservative pub. 

Here is another gem that Munro uses to contradict himself:

"[Maryland’s] 24 school systems track data to ensure that minority and special education students are not unduly affected by suspensions, expulsions and other disciplinary measures. [...] Disparities would have to be reduced within a year and eliminated within three years."

Again, this is just another quote used by Munro to rile up the ignorant conservative base.  The quote, once again, fails to justify his argument; the quote merely shows that Maryland is using data so that everyone is disciplined the same no matter what racial group.  

The problem Maryland is addressing is not that racial groups should be punished less, but that racial groups should be punished the same as white students.  Essentially, that means if a white kid gets one day of detention for skipping class, a black kid should get one day of detention for skipping class...not three.

This bigoted “journalist” will look for any reason to keep whites on top – and they know white cons will eat this up – so he blatantly put out disinformation to trick the base. 

And one look at this house-of-cards-at-best argument shows me that they don't even have to try being good journalists anymore.  Let's just ramp up the rhetoric and put the bug zapper on high.

Munro then goes on to attack Judith Browne-Dianis, a director of the D.C.-based Advancement Project.  You have to love this assumption by Munro asserting that her motivation is money:

"Dianis’ project is also a law firm that litigates race-related questions, and it gains from laws and regulations that spur race-related legal disputes."

It must be because Dianis is a money-hungry whore who preys on the unfortunate.  You have to love that mindset! 

Progressives are progressives for a reason.  They are the ones who aren’t money hungry.  Cons just love to assume, because they want to believe everyone is a greedy bastard like them.  This woman – if anything – could be considered an expert witness as she sees this stuff ALL THE TIME.  She probably understands that something needs to be changed. 

If one can't see that the system is broken, then I'm not sure what else to tell them.

I also like how Munro tries to throw in a little garbage at the end to strengthen his argument citing that no "individual" was singled out by Attorney General Eric Holder.  No shit.  Pick a case.  I’m sure if he did a little investigating (I know this concept is foreign to conservative “journalists”), he would EASILY find what he is looking for.

And who doesn’t love the red herring he throws out there in the end pointing out hiring practices?

Brilliant. 

He must feed his sheep the good corn.

In short, I am not surprised this piece came from a site founded by Tucker Carlson.
